Success Story for Karla

Attending the Institute for Biomedical Entrepreneurship class in Boston-2018, provided me with a unique opportunity to learn from experts in the field and work on developing a business plan. The course was eye opening and explained many strategies in business that will directly impact my future work. Fantastic talks were given by experienced individuals and this generated great discussion in a very collegial environment and helped as we began to critically evaluate our ideas and companies. In addition to the intensive business plan module of the workshop, a focus on behavioral assessments delved into how we function as leaders and innovators. Understanding the personality traits that I have and the ones that benefit me, as well as those that may impede, provided great insight into how I can improve to get the most of my interactions with colleagues and staff. What I walked away with is a better understanding of the business development system, a better business plan, and an enhanced understanding of how to continually develop myself and my team for success. I believe that these skill will not only help me as I continue to generate intellectual property and form start-ups, but will improve how I manage and communicate with my team.

The IBE Difference

The IBE brings the specialized know-how and the funding required for translational development success.

The IBE is a lean operating company that uses disciplined processes, leverages existing resources (incubators, CROs), and taps into expert networks to work on many product opportunities in parallel, rather than trying to build one startup at a time.
